Detection and Quantification

General Information

The Nuclera eProtein Discovery™ relies on an E. coli based cell-free expression blend to express protein. Our proprietary system incorporates solubility, purification, and quantification tags onto our protein construct to allow you to obtain the best conditions for your protein using a quick and easy modular system.

Nuclera uses a proprietary split GFP fluorescence quantification system. This allows for the direct and specific detection of your protein of interest, without the worry of other nucleic acids or proteins affecting your reading.

The presence of the GFP tag on the C-terminal enables the quantification of the protein only when this has been fully translated, ensuring accurate measurement of functional protein. Both the expression blend and quantification system can be scaled up from our nano-scale discovery system up to mg yields for your downstream uses. At the end of the experiment, the eProtein Discovery™ System will predict how much protein can be scaled up from 200 µL scale-up reaction to 1 mL.
